Old Complaints Revisited, 2020-2023
The series oscillates my body into a private space, taking in from an autobiographical episode with a skin disorder I experienced as an adolescent for over a decade. The large scrolls on unprimed canvas serve as cathartic reservoirs carefully constructed with the repetitive act of pasting fish scales. The work itself has become a space maker to ruminate on the observations, complaints, societal notions and ideas on body anomaly, care and shame; allowing to think through hands.
